Domania is shaped by more than 1,000 years of experience.
No, it was not founded circa 1,000 A.D. Domania is comprised of so many talented and unique individuals -- thirty one to be exact -- that bring so much diversity and creativity to the company, the only number to use as years of relevant experience is the sum total of their lives.
Domaniacs are diverse.
Domaniacs have a variety of backgrounds. They have excelled in the worlds of high-tech, real estate, marketing, engineering, management, economics, law, politics and grassroots organizing.
Some worked on the Internet before some Internet CEOs even knew what it was. Mostly, they are simply over-achievers.
Domaniacs are real estate experts.
Aside from being home owners and occasionally home sellers, Domania brings together 50-plus years of real estate experience from some of the top brokers in the country.
Domaniacs are musical.
Domaniacs include a classical pianist that accompanied the New Jersey State Orchestra and Choir on Handel's Messiah amongst other works, a mandolinist with a professional orchestra, and a trombone player who played with a school orchestra.
Domaniacs are cultured.
Many Domaniacs have traveled the world. Moreover, one has taught Spanish and English as a Second Language, one helped teach immigrant adults English as a Second Language and other classes at a local non-profit, two have taught in Japan and one worked for a Bangladeshi Non Governmental Organization as a micro enterprise specialist.
Domaniacs are philanthropic.
Many Domaniacs have championed causes that make the world a better place. One lived and worked in Kenya, building desks and benches for young Maasai schoolgirls, and others partake in various road and bicycle races for charitable causes.
Domaniacs are adventurous.
They have hiked Mt. Everest and the Swiss Alps, survived locusts and "fluorescent green poisonous snakes" (not the scientific term), and battled 30 knot-winds after losing the main sail out at sea. Another ran with the bulls in Pamplona, though we suspect this was purely an accident.
Domaniacs are entrepreneurial.
Two Domaniacs founded this company 10 years ago, one of whom also founded an ophthalmic start-up.
Domaniacs are political.
Domania has veteran political operatives from presidential to municipal campaigns. One Domaniac was Chief of Staff to Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger, one of the first Attorneys General to file suit against the tobacco industry.
Domaniacs are athletic.
Ten percent of Domaniacs are rugby players, including Domania's CEO and COO. Domania also has many skiers and basketball, soccer, hockey, field hockey, softball, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee players. One Domaniac achieved All-American honors in basketball during her athletic career at Columbia University.
Domaniacs are editors and publishers.
One Domaniac was publisher of one of the largest nationally-distributed feminist newspaper in the country, turning it around from near collapse. Another was the editor of the region's largest comic newspaper.
Domaniacs are good at math.
At least one, anyway. One Domaniac specialized in mathematical algorithmics. Many reportedly balance their checkbooks.
Domaniacs are filmmakers.
One Domaniac, while in school, wrote and produced a few short films and completed a full-length screenplay that, she boasts, has already been rejected by more than one studio.
Domaniacs have lots of little kids.
All adorable and more on the way!
Domaniacs love animals.
Lots of dogs and cats and one dragon lizard.
Domaniacs are astrologers.
Well, one is, but a novice. This Domaniac also does a little tarot card work on the side.
Domaniacs are psychotherapists.
One. Part-time. Not licensed.
Domaniacs are Red Sox and Patriots fans.
This is overwhelmingly true. This is one area we don't kid about.
Domaniacs are distressed over Ray Bourque's departure from the Bruins.
One especially. I wouldn't mention it.
