Domania Boosts Value of Home Sales Database Adds 3 Million Records; Launches Vermont Coverage

Boston, MA, July 2, 2001 — Domania.com, Inc. announced today that it has added 3 million records to its Home Price Check (HPC) database since the beginning of the year, making HPC the most comprehensive online resource for home sale prices in the U.S. Domania's Home Price Check includes more than 26 million records and covers 83% of available data in the U.S.

"We've got six times the number of records as our nearest competitor, and our coverage is unmatched on the Web," said Steve Kropper, CEO of Domania. "We devote considerable resources to acquiring, processing, and upgrading the quality of our data, to ensure that we're the best source for accurate home prices."

Domania's database of home sales prices, or "comps," is one of the company's key competitive advantages. Domania's database and search software are free to consumers, and, with these tools, homebuyers and sellers can research the market and become better-educated consumers. The database and search software also allow Domania to connect with pre-move transactors in the earliest stages of their home buying and selling process. Domania's ability to identify pre-move transactors is of great value to the company's clients in the real estate, mortgage, and insurance industries.

The most recent data acquisition-almost half a million records-includes the addition of the entire state of Vermont, continuing Domania's commitment to add new state records as they are made available to the public. Domania also increased its coverage in Washington, DC by 30%, and added Spring 2001 records in 33 states, including Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and more.

Home Price Check, the flagship product in Domania's suite of financial services and marketing software, has proven to be a successful customer acquisition and retention tool for Domania's clients. Eager to expand its marketing activities, particularly as the refinancing boom ebbs, new client GreenPoint Mortgage recently teamed up with Domania for help in maximizing the use of the Web to provide valuable information to GreenPoint's customers.

With its proprietary financial software and marketing programs, Domania identifies near-term transactors using HPC and delivers targeted, relevant product messages to them, maximizing returns and minimizing runoff. These targeted messages regularly result in click-through rates of more than forty percent, approximately forty times the results of other email marketing programs.

In addition to GreenPoint Mortgage, Domania has an impressive client roster, which includes America Online (AOL), Dow Jones, Realtor.com, CBS MarketWatch.com, Monstermoving.com, and The Motley Fool.

"The growth of our coverage-13% over the past 6 months-demonstrates Domania's commitment to providing the best coverage of home sales on the Web, both on our site and those of our clients. Armed with this information, consumers can be sure they're buying and selling their homes for the right price, and, armed with HPC, our clients can attract and retain interested customers." Kropper noted.
